What can I say?

In the two seconds that you take your eye off the kids to cook, run to the potty, shave a dog, whatever...this is what happens in my house. Both of these things happened last week within a day of each other. Seriously Drew, I don't wear red lipstick anymore. :)

Christmas fun

Mimi came over today to build a gingerbread house with the boys! Tyler was able to help out this year, but all Drew wanted to do was eat and lick it! They had a great time and kept saying it was the 'coolest' house they had ever seen.

Lipe Family

Brother and sister

This is truly the most genuine, sweet family with precious kiddos. Thanks for being my guinea pigs on manual! Some of my favorite shots...

Manual...

A friend of mine, Ali, encouraged me to go 'manual' on the camera. Meaning, I control the white balance, exposure, etc... I was timid about this but I think you can definitely tell a difference. Thanks Ali! The 3 bottom shots of my boys are automatic...the top ones are manual. Still got a mountain to climb...but I am starting the hike.

Brotherly love...

At the time I found out I was pregnant a second time, I could not believe it. Happy, but shocked! Now I can't imagine doing it any differently even if I were to plan it. Sometimes the best surprises are the ones unplanned. Being so close in age they are so tight, they love being around each other and yet they still like being independent. Last night I tried to get a Christmas shot...not very easy by myself. BJ would have been helpful but he was enjoying Monday night football from the Texans stadium. Which was a nice treat since he missed just about every game this year to attend the Love & Respect seminar.

Perfect park day

The boys love, love, love, the cousins. However, they are more like siblings and have missed them. They have not seen them in a week till today at school and then the park. The boys were equally excited that I had new little subjects to practice on with my new camera. :)
