Smell of Spring, maybe...

'Here you go mommy'

Today's weather really felt like spring is coming!! Even though Houston's nice weather quickly turns to HOT, HOT, HOT...today was beautiful. So the boys did today what they do best...get dirty, play with rocks, and try to crush flowers.

Double Trouble

' Tri' swimming with the ducks...would you do this??
Tyler talking to the clouds
Drew screaming 'double trouble'

is what my mom use to call Sarah and I in high school (we weren't all that bad). Well, I don't know how this happened, but today Drew was calling himself and Tyler 'double trouble.' It was funny and it had me laughing. But indeed they were today!! I decided I wanted to see the lake water I will be swimming in come May for a triathlon. It was a quick trip since they wanted to run into the water after the ducks!

Come ride with me!

The motor cycle!

The boys are awesome, and I love being their mom!
Tonight, as we got into Drew's bed to read our evening bible story they got distracted...with 'Mommy, a motor cycle, vroom vroom!' It's just so fun to see how their imagination turns everything into something!
Also, check out T's boxer pull ups (they are like paper shorts)! Tonight I started the overnight potty training, we will see how it goes...

Paige Parks, watch out!

Kam is a beautiful, photogenic baby! Seriously...I couldn't be more proud that she is related to me! Even if she is only my niece... She's 6 months and it's gone by fast. I seriously think Sarah should call the Paige Parks modeling agency. :)

It's me...

I realized I have not been in front of the camera since September...so I turned it around and got a couple of shots before heading to dinner for Valentines (thanks to Lala & Uncle Jebo for babysitting). Company at dinner was good, but we decided after an overpaid, not so good dinner that next year we will have a party instead (or at least go to one). Till next year...

Red on Valentines!

'BOOM goes the Dynamite'

Ready to go

They are naturals!

Erin drove the ball down the field, passed it to Tyler who kicked it in to score...Erin walked up to Tyler and gave him a high five!! So cute!

Sitting like a lady...sitting like a boy!

Or just sitting on Mimi!
Uncle 'Jebo'...they love him

Love to LaLa

We spent Valentine's Day morning at the soccer field for Tyler's first game. It was special to share that with Uncle Jeb and Lala. Not quite sure who had more fun, but I am guessing it wasn't the kids. :)

When Lala comes to town...

They make Valentine cupcakes,
they jump around,

they hang on her,

and they have their own band!

Happy Valentine's Day

It's about love whether it's brotherly love, love to your children, or spousal love. But the greatest love of all is God's love for us.

'For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.' John 3:16 NKJ

Faces of B

Oh, he makes me want another baby!!! Little B is so sweet and really loves his momma! He is nice and solid, which makes me think of Drew at his age. My first stab at inside lighting and a 3 month old! I had fun doing these. Many thanks to his mom.

He's back!

Drew showing me he can use his arm!

Firemen came to Tyler's school and passed out hats and suckers.

Drew woke up today telling me that 'no more was the broken collarbone.' And that 'I am going to gym-NA-astics.' Good for him, because today I did let him go back and he did really well. I spoke with the teacher about going easy on it, but Drew didn't listen and did every activity with full range of motion. A permanent petition on my prayer list...no more broken bones! :)

Finally...soccer

Zig zagging between cones!
Drew getting in on the action
Proper gear is important
Perfect form...so what if we miss the ball

It's more fun this way...
Coach pep talk
Tyler has waited a long time to play soccer! Today he went to a soccer clinic and he loved it!! He put his shoes on the minute he got out of bed and wanted to wear them all day. The first 45 minutes on the field he giggled. We were so proud of him because he ran and played hard the whole time...but also because him and his buddy were the only two to score during the game.
Coach O, we are ready for the season!!

Baby Booty!

I love baby booty shots!! They are very close to being too old to do this or maybe they are too old..regardless, these are the last of them. So, can you guess who is who?? Blue shirt vs brown shirt??

Not quite yet

We had high hopes, but were surprised today to learn that Drew will not be allowed to return to gymnastics tomorrow. So sad. The little guy cried when I told him. Apparently, he is 'well on the way to being completely mended, just not quite'. However, we are blessed that he is indeed healing and will most likely return to gymnastics in two weeks.

25 random things...too easy!

My 25 random things about me...

1. I look at my boys and I want to memorize everything about them because I know I will miss these early years when they are gone!

2. I have two little dogs. They were the center of our world, but after the boys they are lucky to get a meal on time. :)

3. I don't like swimming or biking or running, but am training for a sprint tri.

4. I love the New King James version of the bible...it's poetry.

5. People think I like to read because I can read through a book quickly. Not the case, it's because I don't like to leave things unfinished.

6. My Holy Spirit has been convicting me these past couple of years on a number of things, and I enjoy it. Because in it's wake it brings intimacy with Him.

7. The Woodlands seems to get smaller and smaller. It's noticeable when a quick Saturday lunch at a Chickfila turns into a social hour.

8. I love to write with the ultra fine Sharpie. I worked for them for 5 years and the loyalty runs deep.

9. I have friends I adore and can't live without, friends I would like to know more, and others I enjoyed for a season.

10. The best feeling under your feet is a newly mopped floor! Next in line is a white sand beach.

11. I feel like everyday I clean after 3 hurricanes! A husband and two little boys.

12. I would foster to adopt tomorrow if BJ would let me. Boy or girl...

13. I would love to be pregnant again...I absolutely loved every minute of it (even delivery)...but the doctor says I shouldn't. So BJ took measures.

14. Most girls plan their weddings when they are little...I never did. Not in the slightest. In fact, beside colors, flowers, and dresses my mom planned the whole thing (music, program, food, etc)

15, I loved playing flag football in college. And we were good. :)

16. You will hardly find me wearing anything but reef flip flops and jeans. Unless I am going to the gym.

17. I have no rear end (squats don't do a thing) so jeans with flap pockets are a must! :)

18. I am proud of my husband...and I love him.

19. People think I am competitive, but I am only competitive with my self. I enjoy helping others with what I learn and how to do it better than me.

20. Tonight the boys slept in the same bed together...it's said they will be closer friends if they do. Wonder if it's time for bunk beds...

21. My course is to raise mighty men of and for God.

22. I would live in Chicago right now if I was single and young again! Winters and all. San Fran being second, Seattle being third. FYI-I am talking about the city not their political views, I am an elephant (Republican) to the core.

23. Maroon and white for my boys!

24. I ran over an owl at 3:00 am when driving between New Mexico and California with a co-worker. We thought it was a white bucket in the road and went to straddle it with the tires (we were in a lifted Ford Excursion). It turned to look at me just as we got near it. It spread it's wings and came off the ground about a foot when I hit it. It took us about 10 minutes to pull over and check it out.

25. Spent 2 weeks in Vegas for work. The second day I was there, I woke up and lost my voice. It didn't come back till I went to LA. They call it the 'desert voice.' Can't tell you how much tea with honey, hot showers, no talking I did for those two weeks.

Bonus: I have a concealed handgun license...but it's expired. It almost got me arrested once (it's important to show when you get pulled over) but it's also gotten me out of speeding tickets.
