Masterpiece!

What a sunset! It rained this afternoon, and then as the sun set this magnificent sky opened up. It always brings my mind to 'what did the sky look like when Christ was on the cross?' Or as Sarah put it 'maybe this will be the sky when Christ comes back!' I like this way better...it's looking forward at His glorious return! Either way, God's creation is amazing...I love how He reveals Himself through it! What a masterpiece tonight!

All 'bout Brooke!

She is a princess...

Sarah's little Brooke turned 3! Her personality is a perfect blend between Sarah and I, reminding me one day of Sarah and another day of me. She is the life of the party, animated and fun! Sweet Brooke...Happy Birthday!

It truly is...'Showers of Blessing'

Drew before the program...waiting for daddy to get home.

The boys! Loved that Tyler's favorite color is green & Drew's is blue!

Showers of Blessing at SonKids

This little light of mine!

Drew enjoying the applause

Singing in the rain...

Tyler singing & a bit over it. :)

Last night the boys had their school program! It was so fun to watch and even more fun that they were both in it this year. Drew sang every word...loud...and a step behind. The class would sing a phrase, and he would come in strong as back up! It was hilarious and had the whole front row by me laughing! I am starting to think he might be the class clown! Regardless, he's got an awesome, fun personality!

Tyler is growing up. He was into it and then you could see him start thinking he was too cool. He has the sweetest heart and a giving personality! He melts my heart every time he says he loves me...which is quite often and out of the blue. Last night, he was sitting with his class and I was across the row in another section. He leans forward and yells at me, 'I love you mommy!' Awesome! All around just smiled and in unison said 'ahhh.'

Praying for Stellan

Drew with an orange flower for Stellan, since he wouldn't wear his clothes.

The story of baby Stellan is an incredible, undenying God thing that started at conception. And He is continuing to work and move in this baby's life. Today, he had heart surgery and those praying for him wore orange...or did something orange. Someone on her blog actually put his name on her forehead in orange. Either way, it was to remind everyone to pray for him and his family.

Pray that God would give the doctor's skill and wisdom, His peace and comfort for the family, and His strength and permanent healing to that little MckMiracle, as she calls him. Join us in prayer and follow his mother's blogs by clicking on the below button.

You're a SURVIVOR...and so is he!

Tyler, anyone else think it looks like Drew??

This past weekend, I attended a Right to Life dinner with family and a dear friend. The key note speaker was Jill Stanek, the RN that testified against LIVE birth ABORTION! Her story: http://www.jillstanek.com/bio.html. They challenged us with...'do you realize if you were born after 1973 (Roe vs Wade), YOU are a survivor too!!' That means me...that means my kids...and that means their kids.
Smile, your mom chose LIFE!

Curious, but capable!!

Tyler
Tyler's mouse on play!!
So we have a new evening tradition...every night after bath time the boys huddle in front of the computer and play their favorite game, Curious George. For months, it's been them sitting on our lap with us in control of the mouse. Well, Tyler kept telling me he could do it and the last few nights I have let him. He literally sits there and maneuvers through the games, starts them over, uses the arrow keys, and actually stays on the mouse pad. Drew is content to sit by his side with a late night snack of goldfish and cheer him on. It's just hilarous to watch. They grow up sooo fast.

Silent Majority

The Woodlands Tea Party
I love this country

Tyler before the activities

Freedom of speech!

Drew praying for his nation

God bless her & keep her!

It was a tea party like none other! I was proud to see hundreds, probably thousands, coming to a local park tonight to protest our current economic situation with the impending taxation.
1 Thess 5:17 for our nation and it's leaders.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day...

This is serious business...check out the concentration on that face.
Good job Drew!
when the boys get CHORES! Drew was all about the dishes tonight. And he was quite good and quite the helper. Just need to work on which soap to use. Tyler, on the other hand, is the official dog feeder! Something for everyone around here. :)

A whole lot of lots!

The face of sugar overdrive...this is Drew
Mimi & Tyler
Easter has been lots and lots, and I mean LOTS of candy! In fact, Tyler got a stomach bug Friday afternoon and it didn't help that his system was in overdrive from sugar. He has been out for the count since, but Mimi dropped in to see him this afternoon and it brought back his smile. :) Thanks Mimi.

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

By God's grace, it didn't end here...

Up from the Grave He arose!
by Robert Lowry, 1829-1899

Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Refrain: Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

2. Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior,
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!

(Refrain)

3. Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior; he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord! (Refrain)

Egg Hunting

Putting the eggs out...Tyler watching with his buddy
Eager Drew...setting his strategy!

Strategy in play...
Enjoying his spoils
At this age, it's about the count!
We have an awesome playgroup, full of great friends. Today, we celebrated Easter and had an Easter egg hunt. It was much more serious this year then last year. Last year, they would pick up an egg, break it open and enjoy their find. Therefore, not collecting many eggs (yeah). This year, it was put it in the basket and get another! This time collecting so many eggs, I was having to pull out a few and place them in other kid's baskets. Next year, I bet there might be some nose dives and tackles. :)

Love Rivalry

Drew
Tyler

Drew

I really love being their mom. I love that Tyler has my eyes and my dad's smile. I love that Drew is all BJ. I love that they are super messy, because it's them loving life. I love that they easily laugh and easily smile. I love that they are always looking for the other one. I love that they have conversations about sharing and playing. I love that they never dig alone, play alone, or eat alone....and then you turn around and they are hitting each other over the head, wrestling each other to the ground, and crying. It's down right sibling love with rivalry. I could not imagine it any other way...it's awesome!

Season come, season go...

A real trophy...he went to bed with it!

Tyler has loved soccer...he gets to play in the dirt, pick grass, and run to his heart's content. It's been fun to watch, but it will be nice to have our Saturday mornings back. :)

Making daddy proud!

Getting ready for the pic

His class picture for the auction (upper left, laughing)

I have had T in gymnastics for the past few months to build upper body strength & coordination (for the coming sports days). Last week as he exited the class, he brought me a 'special' paper. He has been invited to join the select class for the summer. Today Drew dressed up for his class picture...while he was super cute in his suit, he wanted to accessorize it with a pink hat and pink necklace. Their dad is so proud!! :) I did get him to switch it for a Mickey Mouse tie for the picture!

A funeral, a wedding shower and a race...

Cousins...all grown up

all in 2 days. My mom and I went up to Dallas to attend a family funeral on Sunday. It was a long and bizarre day. But it was good to see family.

the wedding shower...

The bride and her brother

The groom! HA!

Meeting Meg's baby
BJ & I
My friends!!

After the 5K, we went to T's soccer game and then to one of my best friend's wedding shower! So much fun to hang out with these girls and meet the new baby. Thanks for being awesome friends, even though we don't see each other much anymore!!

and the race!

Here he is!
A shot of the take off!
My friend, #372 was our female champ at 22:58! I got my personal best of 25:23!

Saturday, we all gathered together to support the Ryan family! It was a wonderful success, raising over $3,300 with over 137 runners & walkers. Thanks to everyone that helped make it happen (especially the husbands).
